A Summer surprise! LogicalDOC 8.9.3

Summer brings news and innovations to the document management system. The new LogicalDOC 8.9.3 version is ready. Thanks to the continuous commitment of the development team, further improvements and new features have been introduced in this new release.

• LogicalDOC has always had the ability to send emails for its notifications. Recently, Microsoft abolished the authentication system by inserting a username and PSW and replacing it with a more secure and reliable OAuth system. But this is not a problem for LogicalDOC 8.9.3, which can also automatically connect to the Microsoft 365 mail service, and in this way, it can also automatically monitor mailboxes, which are archived and indexed. LogicalDOC 8.9.3 has developed full compatibility with Microsoft 365 and can communicate perfectly and automatically with the Microsoft 365 mail server without problems or interruptions.

• LogicalDOC provides a Web service API that is particularly appreciated and used by our customers. With this new improvement, pagination has been introduced in the web service API, that is the possibility of listing the contents of folders divided by pages. In this way, even folders containing tens of thousands of documents can be listed without incurring errors or system interruptions.

• Inside LogicalDOC, documents have their own identifier provided by the program that cannot be modified by users and that represents the primary key with which LogicalDOC identifies documents. However, some companies may have company policies for which documents must comply with certain identifiers and be registered according to specific and peculiar rules. LogicalDOC provides a Protocol function, which is configured as an alternative and customizable identifier, which can be edited and in which you can also configure specific self-regulation policies. With the new LogicalDOC 8.9.3 version, the security and modifiability of the Custom Identifier are even more detailed; in fact, the administrator can configure specific permissions to control this function!

• In addition, from today, it is possible to apply the Annotation function to previous versions of a document, which are promptly recorded, easily consultable, and traceable.
